Travel 65 miles total through the Great North Woods on the northern edge of the highest mountains in the northeast -- the Presidential Range of the White Mountains. The Great North Woods remains sparsely settled and sliding down the Connecticut River between the shores of Vermont and New Hampshire you'll enjoy the solitude of Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge.
