We is a sci-fi novel about a young girl named Aluli coming of age in a very isolated world where she was abandoned as an infant. As she longs to learn of her family, she embarks upon a journey to find out who she is only to find out her destiny is more than she could have imagined. Once she leaves the familiarity of her home, her life starts to unfold, and she begins to learn of her special and specific talents, which will eventually define her place in the universe. Aluli discovers new worlds beyond her own and begins to meet a diverse group of friends and enemies along the way. She experiences many personal battles trying to determine her own moral compass as she blossoms into a strong young woman. As her destiny starts to reveal itself, she begins to understand the value of her solitary upbringing. She struggles between helping those around her and fulfilling her own destiny as she finally finds her family. She soon finds out that her family's home world is being destroyed and will soon cease to exist, and she races against time to save them. As her friends and family help her move toward her destiny, she learns more about who she is and how important her purpose is to the universe. With many evils fighting against her, she learns to conquer her own fears and starts to harness her abilities to help seal the fate of her people. Although her journey does not end once she fulfills her destiny, she finds solace in who she has become and how valuable her place is in the universe.
